Day-by-Day Itinerary

Welcome to Finland!

You have an included airport transfer that will drop you off at our first accommodation, the luxurious Apukka Resort where we will all be staying in GLASS IGLOOS so we have the best chance to see the Northern Lights every. single. night!

Take some time for yourself to rest, relax, and freshen up before meeting the group at 7pm for our delicious welcome dinner.

It’s going to be such a great week!

Enjoy a complimentary breakfast before transfer to Santa Claus Village today to explore the merriest place on Earth! We will be getting into the Christmas spirit all day long and crossing the Arctic Circle. You can even get a certificate to prove it.

Our first activity of the day is a fun husky sled ride followed by a meet and greet to get to know those adorable huskies!

You’ll have free time to walk around Santa’s Village at your leisure so you can take a photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Don’t forget to send your loved ones (or yourself) postcards stamped from the Arctic Circle! You can also write a letter to Santa or get a letter from Santa sent to the believer in your life.

This is also a great opportunity to shop for souvenirs before our next activity, a magical reindeer sleigh ride. Did someone say bucket list check?

We’ll finish our day with another yummy meal at one of the restaurants in Santa Claus Village before we snuggle up in our igloos and stargaze from the comfort of our rooms.

Make sure you eat a big breakfast because we have an exciting day planned!

First, we’ll get picked up right from our hotel and taken to a frozen lake where we’re going to do an ice float! It’s such a silly and fun activity, and surprisingly very relaxing!

We’ll have some free time afterwards to warm up with hot berry juice and cookies before our next activity- an exhilarating snowmobile ride through the forest.

We’ll meet back to warm up and eat dinner, then make sure you put on a few more layers because we’re going aurora chasing with professional northern lights hunters tonight to see if we can find the magic of the aurora borealis.

I’ll be there the whole time to capture amazing photos of you!

After a late night, you’ll have the opportunity to sleep in. Just make sure you grab some breakfast before we leave our cozy igloos at Apukka.

We’ll be getting on the bus and leaving Rovaniemi. We have a 2 hour bus ride to get to Levi, and on the way we’re going to stop for another activity – ice karting! It’s just like go karting, but way more fun because you’re skidding and sliding on ice. This is my personal favorite activity of the trip.

Then we’ll check into our accommodations at the Northern Lights Ranch – my favorite property in Finland – where everyone’s room has its own private hot tub!

We’ll meet up for a delicious dinner on property, then have a bonfire, roast marshmallows, and swap stories. Enjoy your evening from your hot tub or your glass room, either way you’ll be able to see the northern lights right from your room!

You have another opportunity to sleep in incase you were up all night searching for the northern lights. Just don’t sleep too long because the breakfast at the Northern Lights Ranch is AMAZING. Plus you get to eat with lots of adorable reindeer right outside your window.

Today is a free day! You can take advantage of the property’s amenities like their snowshoe trail, mini ice-skating rink, art gallery, fitness center, or just lounge in your hot tub all day. Don’t forget to feed the reindeer!

You can also opt to go into town to eat, shop, or hit the slopes at Finland’s number one ski resort.

This is YOUR day. Have fun, and we’ll see you back at dinner!

We’ll have another relaxing slow morning with a delicious Finnish breakfast next to our reindeer friends, then we’ll say goodbye to the Northern Lights Ranch and Levi as we drive back to Rovaniemi.

For our last night, we’ll be staying at the famous Arctic Snow Hotel in another glass igloo.

Before we settle into our rooms, we’ll explore the property and look at all the intricate ice sculptures and ornate rooms inside the ice hotel.

After some free time to warm up and relax, we’ll meet for a drink at the Ice Bar. Everything is ice, even the shot glasses – so you throw it against the wall when you’re finished!

Then we’ve saved the best for last since we’l be savoring a 3-course dinner served in the ice restaurant for our farewell dinner. We’ll laugh and reminisce on the amazing week we had together.
