About Me

Hey, I’m Shay
I’m a twenty-something Pennsylvania Native With a chronic case of the travel bug!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I’m SO glad you’re here!
I believe in living life to the absolute fullest, and for me, that means experiencing everything this big beautiful world has to offer. I have learned so much so far, and I want to share that with the world so everyone can learn to love travel as much as I do.
I have been studying Spanish since 7th grade, and went on to pursue a double Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Communication in college, where I studied abroad for a semester in Seville, Spain. Not only did this solidify my fluency in the language, but this was when I fell in love with traveling, photography, and experiencing other cultures. Thus, the Sightseeing Señorita was born!
I consider myself to be a do-it-all type of traveler. I have traveled on a shoestring budget, midrange, and luxuriously. I love relaxing on the beach and sipping piña coladas at a 5-star all inclusive resort , but I’m also content with sleeping in hostels and on the airport floor while solo backpacking through Europe or Asia. I’m a big solo traveler, but I also love traveling with friends, families, or strangers turned friends that I connect with online or on group trips. Of course I love to relax, but I can also be go go go!
I’m adventurous and up-for-anything, whether it’s paragliding, swimming with sharks, sand boarding, zip lining, hot air balloon rides – you name it! Skydiving and bungee jumping are still on my bucket list.
I am an also HUGE water bug! I was on the swim team for over 6 years, but nowadays you’ll find me at my happiest in the water, whether that’s snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, paddleboarding, waterskiing, windsurfing, or learning to surf.
So whatever kind of traveler you are, I know you can find at least a little bit of yourself here with me. Stay awhile – let’s hangout!
