CHEAP, QUICK, UNIQUE SOUVENIR ⬇️

I was so excited to discover @acorn_daehakro_ in South Korea because it was such a fun activity & makes for a great souvenir!

It only cost about $5 (7000 won) for the one of myself, and it took less than 5 minutes to complete! I loved it so much I decided to get some of the cats and dogs as gifts for my parents.

There are a few locations across Seoul, and you can even find them in a few other cities in South Korea. The one I tagged is the exact one that I went to.

I also really like that unlike a typical caricature, these are always going to be pretty cute!

The best way to see Mt Fuji ⬇️

Seeing Mt Fuji in all its glory was definitely a highlight of my Japan trip last year!🤩

There’s only a 20-30% chance of seeing Mt. Fuji as it’s often shrouded by clouds or fog, so I’m super grateful I got to see it.

If you visit in the winter months (November-March), you have a much greater chance of seeing it than you do in the summer. You’ll also have a better chance earlier in the morning.

I would recommend renting a car and staying in the area for one or two nights, preferably in an onsen with a view of the mountain - but you’ll have to book that months in advance.

Or if you’re short on time like I was, you can do a day trip from Tokyo!

First stop was the iconic Chureito Pagodo. It’s open 24 hours and admission is free. It’s 398 steps to the top which should take about 15-20 minutes. I’m not sure why, but the left side of the platform is PACKED, so it’s much easier to get photos on the right even though the view is almost the same.

Next stop: Tenku No Torii. It’s a super iconic view with the torii gate and Mt. Fuji behind it, but it’s just a big photo opportunity. There’s typically a long line that goes pretty slow. I waited almost an hour for a 3 minutes time slot, and yes, they time you, so I mainly just used my phone. It costs
500 yen, cash, to take a photo here.

And last but not least, Oishi Park along Lake Kawaguchiko is another amazing viewpoint and a great place to stop for ice cream.

Visiting Tokyo’s oldest temple‼️

No trip to Tokyo is complete without visiting Sensō-Ji, a Buddhist temple in Asakusa.

It was actually partially destroyed during WWII, but the main hall was rebuilt.

The temple is located next to Nakamise-dōri street, which has lots of shops selling all kinds of traditional goods.

This temple will illuminate right after sunset, and it might be even more stunning at night!

5 reasons why you need get a color match with @korealcolor in Korea!! ⬇️

1️⃣ It was SO fun! Trips can be stressful, especially if you’re on the other side of the world. This was a great way to unwind and just have a good time while also learning a lot.

2️⃣ It’s a private session, so you’ll be the only one in the room which makes it feel even more personalized.

3️⃣ This is the most detailed, comprehensive & in depth color match I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe how much information I got. SO worth it‼️

4️⃣ Specific makeup recommendations with names & photos that I was able to take right to Olive Young to do some shopping & that I was able to bring home so I could color match and shop here.

5️⃣ This information is good FOREVER. I will have this info for the rest of my life.

And if you’re still not convinced, here’s exactly what it included: I spent almost an hour going through all the different colors, and ended with a summary of what works best for me.

Then I was emailed that summary with 20 pages detailing all my information, including specific makeup products with names & photos (lipstick, eyeshadows, blush, foundation - even perfume to match my season).

It’s a little more difficult to tell on other people, but trust me, once you do this yourself you’ll be able to tell what a huge difference there is!
